The Day

—Saturday 27th July 2013

Plan for the Day

– The Bride arrives.

– The service starts…

followed by champers and photographs out on the lawn (weather permitting).

– Those staying for dinner reenter the hall and find their seats (check the board)

– Dinner is served…

followed by the speeches and toasts.

When that’s done, we’ll ask for a hand moving the tables around a wee bit to make room for the partying. It’ll probably be around 7pm.

– Evening guests return and join us for the party.

– Carriages (or the After Party at Boda Bar on Leith Walk!)

We’ll do our best with these times, but there may be an element of ‘creep’. As with everything in life, it’s much easier if we’re all trying to make it happen together.

Umbrellas

It looks like we may be blessed with rain, so don't forget your umbrella.

Children

In keeping with the way we do things here at St James, all are welcome; even very young children are welcome there is a well-stocked creche and a tv and dvd player should you wish to bring a dvd for crowd control.

Photos

Please take photos! We’re not having many ‘official’ ones (because we know how boring it is hanging around while they get taken) but we’d still like a record of who was here with us and what you all got up to – for when we’re old and wrinkly and can’t remember our own names!

The same applies for videos. We’re not having a ‘videographer’, but we’ve found a nifty service for making videos after the event. Even little snippets could be great.

And of course, if you’re that way inclined, remember the hashtag! #TheLenfords
